DELHI BUDGET 2015-16

Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Mr.Manish Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio presented a vote-on –account for the first quarter of 2015-16. The total budget estimate for government of NCT of Delhi is proposed at Rs.37,750 Crore, which includes Rs.21,500 Crore for non-plan expenditure, Rs.15,350 Crore for plan expenditure and Rs.900 Crore for Centrally sponsored schemes.

Mr.Manish Sisodia stated the reason for presenting Vote-on-Account (VOA) instead of regular budget for the full year is due to that the government intends to have a fresh look into the complete budget process, so as to prepare a plan for optimum utilization of resources. The Delhi Government has intended to work in complete partnership with the common man for addressing their issues and problems and for preparation of future plans.

The government has announced that the annual financial statement and demands for grant presented will be revised at the time of regular budget presentation for the year 2015-16.
